About Us

Our teak range mostly comes without any finish or protective treatment. The wood is finely sanded, allowing the natural oils to rise to the surface. Stains do not penetrate teak wood easily due to the high density of wood. However, spills should be cleaned and removed promptly.

Regular Cleaning

Wipe the furniture with a damp cloth to remove dust and dirt. For deeper cleaning, mix mild soap with water and gently scrub with a soft brush. Steer clear of harsh cleaning agents or chemicals that can damage the wood. Stick to gentle, non-abrasive cleaners.

Avoid Water Stains

Avoid placing hot items directly on the wood and use coasters to prevent stains. Wipe up spills promptly to prevent water stains. Use a dry cloth to absorb the moisture and then clean the area with a damp cloth. If you notice small imperfections or stains, you can lightly sand the affected area with fine-grit sandpaper to restore the smooth surface.

Protection

If you decide to place the furniture outdoor, apply teak oil or a specialised teak sealer periodically to maintain the wood's natural colour and protect it from the elements. Follow the teak oil product instructions for the recommended application frequency. Teak naturally weathers to a silver-grey patina over time, but if you prefer to maintain the original colour, protect the furniture from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. Consider covering the furniture during extended periods of non-use or during harsh weather conditions to shield it from the elements.
